Five degrees.. 5! Maybe you missed it.. 5. This is just wrong. Needless to say,
5 degrees=0 motivation to work on my own stuff. So, I've been doing somebody else's stuff :)
My oldest friend Tiffany(who I've known since the 8th grade) lives in Richmond, VA. I get to see her a couple times a year and I'm planning another trip around April. Her oldest daughter recently married and moved out and her son has graduated from high school and is spreading his wings a bit also. Last year they let go of 4 bedrooms to downsize into just 2 bedrooms. I thought it would be fun to help her make a space that doesn't involve kids toys, shoes, books etc.. I have to tell you I was a little surprised at the style she wanted to go for. She likes purple, black and white. Ok, not exactly what I'd have picked, but I can do this. She also wants a modern look. Ok, nothing I've ever done before, but we make it work. She wanted a black ceiling. Not on your life sweet stuff. We reached a compromise on that point and here's a few pictures of what we're going for.
I think we'll do some painted pieces, keep the sofa large and comfy, and plenty of gray and white on the walls. We'll mix a few small black accents, but keep them scattered, since we don't her to end up living in a grape cave.
I'm excited and I'll keep you updated on it!
