Cakes and Cabinets

Yesterday I headed to Birmingham for my Nieces's 7th birthday.
Cakes are sometimes hobby and I made a gymnastics cake for her party.  You may remember me telling you about the Hoosier cabinet they had waiting for me. Well, guess what.  I brought it home! ...along with half of thier garage.  Nope, not kidding.  We got the cabinet loaded and my brother-in-law said, well before we strap that down, why don't you come look at this too.  HA-an hour later, there was no room left in the truck.

After... my pretty new cabinet.  I considered painting it, for about 4 seconds.   That's all it took to decide that it is beautiful just the way it is.  It's missing the door and the original flour bin, so I plan to put a shelf about center of the empty opening.

It was made in Austell, GA

 Such pretty hardware
(lol, I just realized that I edited this pic upside down)

So, it was a busy Saturday, but always fun to see family.  Happy Birthday Claire Bear!
And thanks all for reading.

So glad you got to come down! You was a big help for Amanda, Brent, Sarah, and of course Claire! Can't wait to come down and see your cabinet in its new home!
