So tonight, I hope to do just that! I can't wait and I'm probably getting way too excited, but I just can't help it. I'll let you know how it goes! :)

My name is Anita, I live with my husband and circus of a family in the middle of an Alabama cotton field. I'm a self taught DIY-er. Which means, I usually mess it up before I get it right, BUT I'm always willing to try. I want to spend this next year pulling together all the things I have and love to make my home a more finished product.

On a Mission
Once or twice I've been called an over-achiever... Christie. However, what people fail to realize about me is that it's really just my obsessive nature that won't allow me to stop until a task is complete. :) For almost a year I've been on the hunt for a dough bowl. Yes, it's exactly what it sounds like. A big antique wooden bowl used for kneading bread dough. No, I'm not a baker or a Quaker so why do I want one you ask... Well, I'm just obsessed. I love the way they look and feel. They are beautiful and once upon a time, someone used it daily to feed their family. Mother's may have taught their daughter's the art. Grandmother's shared this time honored.... are you buying this? Ok, well I just think they are really stinkin' neat. The problem comes in finding the size I want with a price tag I can swallow. Keep reading my blog, you'll see the trend. I'm cheap. Earlier today I checked the website for one of my favorite auctions and they had posted a preview of tonight's hoopla. That's right, a dough bowl.. For Christmas this year, my brother gave me a bit of cash and instructions "BUY THE BOWL".
