Losing power, No time for a clever title...
Look what happened across my path! When i say "happened" I mean I've been searching Facebook, craigslist, and thrift stores relentlessly for weeks. Sometimes it's tough to find things that I don't feel guilty painting. When something has a beautiful finish and needs no repairs I feel like I'm defacing it with paint. This one however, stood up and said PAINT ME! Obviously it has no mirror, but I think it's charming as is.
Don't turn your computer, I've got it lopsided for some minor repair.
It looks like I've sanded it down to bare wood, but truthfully there wasn't much of a finish left on it.
Little bit of Gorilla wood glue and we'll be good as new.
I removed the handles, but plan to use them on the finished product. They have a great shape! I cleaned them with a stiff brush and put a coat of flat black paint on them.
\It's not quite finished yet, but I thought I'd show you the progress before we possibly lose power. We are expecting some bad weather and need to get the animals and kids situated.
Thanks for reading!
I'll be sharing the finished product tomorrow... "Good Lord willing and the creek don't rise."
